Youth Conference July 2010 To Nauvoo

Wow, it has been over a year since I posted.....Lot's have happened, so I will work my way backwards starting with our Stake Youth Conference to Nauvoo....... It was WONDERFUL. They split us into families with 10 kids, and I must say...I had the BEST Kids.... here is our family picture

My First 5K

OK, I know it has been awhile since I posted anything, but I have been "training" for my first 5K.

My friend Jill helped me along the way. She is an avid runner and participates in many events during the year.

Here we are........ look at all these crazy people who get up early on a Saturday morning, pay the regestration fee, just to run 3.1 miles.....Now I'm one of these crazy people.

And we are OFF...........A long way to go.........



I made it!!! I know the timer says 18:47, but it was reset for the men, they started 30 minutes after the women, so I made it just under 49 minutes.

I FINALLY DID IT

Yes, 20+ years after graduating from high school, I finally got my BS degree. To think that you need a degree for this, I have been practicing the art of BS for all this time, and I'm now official!!!! LOL

New Calling

Well, I have just been called to be the seminary teacher for the 2009-2010 school year........What were they thinking???? Not sure yet how I feel about this, but one thing is for sure, I will defiantly learn more then the students!!!!!

The school is closed today for a SNOW day. This is what a snow day is, not the pitiful amount of snow that we got on Jan 20th.

New Braces

Well, it was time for Tyler to get braces. Doesn't he look good?!?
There goes our income tax refund!!! Boy they are not cheap!$$$!!

Together for Ever

Last Friday January 23, 2009 we were sealed in the Columbia South Carolina Temple for time and all eternity.

This means that we are going to be together forever and ever, and ever.......oh my!!!

Snow in North Carolina

We missed the one day of snow that falls in NC last year (we went to AZ to visit) but we were here this year!!! Not much snow, but it was enough to close the schools. Kids were happy!!

This year we wanted to do something other than the traditional turkey and or ham. So we got a Prime Rib......yummy!!!!!

Peanut Butter Balls

Most of you know I'm really not much of a Christmas baker, so this year I thought I would try making some chocolate covered peanut butter balls.

Thanksgiving Fun

Boy did we have fun in Mesquite for Thanksgiving!!!! Hopefully we can all stay in touch until we can all get together again!!!

Partial Knee Replacement

Well, Steve finally got to see an orthopedic surgeon about his knee as he agreed that Steve needed surgery.

He will be getting a partial knee replacement on Monday Nov. 10th.

Hope he is healed enough to go on our Thanksgiving trip with us!!!!

School Pictures

Well, I now have an 11th grader and an 8th grader in school this year. Their school pictures turned out real good!!

The Pumpkin's Pudding

It's that season again for "pumpkin time....." Chelsea made her "pumpkin pudding" again this year and we decided to put it in a pumpkin to serve it. It won the "Most Unusual" dessert at our Ward's fall festival.

Financial Peace University (click here to learn more)

Our ward is taking this Financial Peace University course and we just started last night. We are so excited as this is what our family needs in this tough economic times. I would encourage everyone to talk to their Bishop to see if your ward could participate.

The church is also on the list for everyone to receive CEU's (that is college credits for those attending school)

It is a 13 week program and it seems wonderful!!

Family Thanksgiving 2008

I'm so excited about Thanksgiving this year. We have just purchased our airline tickets to go to Nevada for Thanksgiving. This will be the first time in......... forever....... that I have seen many of my cousins. However, I'm very sad that my mom and brother are unable to come... :(
